If a security is not available in the Canopy Database, the security can be imported through Engine. Please note there is a charge of USD 10 per security if the Public Security component is not currently included in your Canopy subscription.

To import a New Security:

1. Click on 'Security Data Import' on the left-hand menu

2. Select the type of security to be imported (we are using a bond import as an example here)

3. Input the ISIN

4. Click on Get Bloomberg Info. Wait for the security to be downloaded. This may take a few minutes.

5. Click on the green icon to import the security

6. Go back to the normalized session (where processing is done), paste the ISIN under the 'Ticker' column. You should see the security being prompted in the dropdown. Click 'Save Changes' to save changes.

7. Click on 'Save Prices' to ensure the price for this ticker is saved for transactions and holdings..
