The default price hierarchy is

Child -> Custodian -> BBG

Custodian price = price given in the datafeed (saved to the price date given in the feed)
Customer price = derived price from Market Value / Quantity (saved to value/statement date)

Both Custodian and Customer prices should be very similar/close, if not identical. Canopy saves both prices everyday, so there will always be a customer price saved and used (since it is the highest in hierarchy) for datafeed each day.
